Vote Today: Senate Race and Technology Stabilization Fund

June 25, 2013

Today is election day!  We have both a senate race and, locally, a vote for a technology stabilization fund.

This fund will support the purchase of equipment to allow our town and school networks to be more reliable, and to support technology needs for citizens, employees, and students.

Through this fund, the town will be able to increase the network’s capacity and bandwidth to support crucial functions of our government and schools.  As Winchester’s recent technology survey revealed, our technology infrastructure is inadequate for our needs.

Cost is approximately ~ $50/house/year; this is a proposition 2.5% override.

To learn more about the stabilization fund, please see the FAQs from the Superintendent’s office.
